When I was in the 5th grade I had a crush on a boy. I asked a popular girl to ask the popular boy if he would “go around with me.” (What was I thinking??) She agreed to ask him and his response still rings clearly in my mind, “She’s an ugly dog and her eyes are too big.” Wow. What a response. I’ve never forgotten how that crushing blow felt.
As an adult, I spent a few years with a special group of women sifting through the pains of life together. We read through a book that encouraged us to identify the “arrows” in our life. The painful words, memories, or actions that have left scars in our lives.
I wonder what your “arrows” are. Do they have to do with body image, self-confidence, habits of gluttony or laziness? I want you to know that those “arrows” are not truth. Lies have power, but they can be overcome with the power of TRUTH. If any of your “arrows” have to do with health, fitness or body image, let me help. I’m here for you. As a Coach in our Challenge Groups I get to help you address not only the body, but to be truly affective, we address the soul and the mind, because they truly go hand in hand. Join me on the journey.
