Marriage is a journey. Snipets of time, moments caught. “As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17. This about sums it up. Two imperfect people trying to learn to love each other in a way that communicates love to the other person, when the two people have different love languages. Two imperfect people trying to learn how to put each other first while putting their own desires aside. Two imperfect people, who often times create more imperfect people, who try to learn how to love and train those people.
Marriage is a journey. For anyone who is married or who has been married, you know that it is a dance. I’m so thankful for a loving, gracious and sovereign God to rely upon for this dynamic relationship. Celebrating 18 years of marriage today: years of joy, celebration, tears, pain, births, victories, homes, job changes, surgeries, school changes, praying for years of blessing to come!
